Creative Landscape and Nature Photography
As a photographer, nature to me is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. I feel especially attracted to savage, unspoiled landscapes in which no traces of human presence can be found. Such landscapes can still be discovered for instance in the United States of North America, South America, Iceland, Eastern Turkey and, to a certain extent, also on our West Frisian Islands.

I can express myself best in landscape photography, both creatively and aesthetically. While photographing I generally am trying to add a surplus value to the landscapes and the phenomena of nature that impress me.

This with the objective to photograph things in the way I like to see them, so that, in my opinion, they seem to be better and more beautiful than in reality. So one could say that I am a romantic.

In photography I am looking for simplicity, precision and details and I always try to get rid of distracting elements in my pictures. Further I like modest and subtle colours, rhythmic lines and structures. Often I am photographing atmospheres that reflect tranquility, serenity, space and solitude.

A part of my work has been reproduced in calendars, on picture postcards and in photo magazines.
